Lord, I come to you grateful for every breath and every moment that you give me to live on your beautiful planet. I thank you for the evidence of You A Majestic Creator of all that I can see the evidence of Your goodness and Your faithfulness in this beautiful earth and in the great expanse of the universe that we can look at night and see. Lord, I just pray that today I could lay down my every breath, every moment, focusing on You and giving You my all. That you would help me second by second choose Life and what pleases You in my thoughts words and deeds. Lord, I realized this morning when I woke up and turned my thoughts to you immediately, Lord, I just heard in my spirit you say that I cannot take anything with me when I die except human souls. Thank you for that truth to help me remember that the only thing that I can take to heaven with me are the souls of people that You touch through my sacrifice. Lord, I ask that you not let me see any lives that are affected through my sacrifice by Your Spirit for fear that it would result in pride, but Lord I ask that You help me lay down my life —every second today so that Your Spirit would be Who speaks through me and that Your Living Water would overflow out of my life and that others would see You not me. Lord, the sacrifice that Oswald Chambers speaks of today, I believe is my giving You my every second, my every breath, every thing that You have given me —whether it be possessions, intelligence, ability to think and speak, whatever is good Lord, let me always remember that it comes from you. That there’s not anything inherently good in the human heart as Your Word says. Use me today as it pleases You and help me to lay down my life and not ever choose self over anything else. Lord, the book that I’m reading with William Law tells me that the greatest thing a human can do is sink down into complete humility and live a life of piety —mortifying flesh so that your Holy Spirit can use everything to Your glory. May I not look for human praise -may I not people please today but may I focus on You every second and dying to selfishness and self-centeredness and cooperating with Your Holy Spirit to make me absolutely unoffendable. To give me a flooding of love to have a sincerely changed heart so that every word that comes out of my mouth would be Yours and not mine that those words would come from a sincere heart that truly forgives 70×7 and truly points others to you. Thank you for helping me today to receive the manna that You’ve given me this morning that it would sustain me in your grace as I go throughout the day. It is in the most precious and holy Name of Jesus that I ask these things until you return or take me home may every breath return to You for Your glory. Amen.
